[Description]
Media Performance represents the form and content of integrating various media materials pertaining media as human body. In a festival and exhibition setting, this proposes a new sensation of communication between the audience and the stage creating a unique time and space experience.

Origin of Energy, presented at the 2017 Astana Expo Thematic Pavilion, is a [Kinetic Media Performance] that reveals the form of human motions through [Mechanical Movement] = [KINETIC], and [VIDEO + SOUND + LIGHT] = [MEDIA], which delivers an arrangement of comprehensive media theatre.

The analog movement of massive machinery meets with other sensuous mediums and opens up the metaphorical senses. Also, each medium is independent and convergent, enabling for creating various versions of story and effects depending on the combination. The performance is based on a story about the origin and birth of Energy, expressed through video, sound and lights centered on the kinetic sculptures, which is presented as if they were dancers with precise choreography.

The 34 energy circles representing the golden sun move up and down to show magnificent formality. The 365 energy balls symbolizing the solar power show elaborate patters and dynamic energy movements. With the addition of sounds and visual illuminations, the kinetic’s movement presents a dramatic experience for the audience of all ages.
