LONGi releases new line of solar panels with standardized widths and three length options

Share

Chinese solar panel manufacturer LONGi has officially launched its new 66C type Hi-MO 4 monofacial PV module for the global distributed generation (DG) market. With an area of about 2 m2, weight of 22 kg and power of 420 W, the new module can be widely used on rooftops in residential, industrial and commercial applications.

LONGi first launched the Hi-MO 4 series of modules using the M6 (166-mm) wafer in 2019. In addition to the 66-cell module, the Hi-MO 4 series also offers 60- and 72-cell types. All three modules types feature a maximum efficiency of 21%.

For the residential market, there is the Hi-MO 4m 60C module (area of 1.82 m2, weight of 19.5 kg, width of 1.04 m). LONGi also offers the 66C (22 kg) and 72C (23.5 kg) options for residential applications. The width of the module is standardized, while three different length options allow the Hi-MO 4m series to maximize the photovoltaic system’s installation capacity in residential rooftops.

Meanwhile, the 72C module is most suitable for use on commercial rooftops.

LONGi plans to expand the capacity of its dedicated DG production line to 10 GW this year.
